Assignments are structured to provide experience of working in the industry. You will also be involved in small group projects and individual research. You will take part in off-campus site visits. You will have opportunities to put your theoretical knowledge into practice with real tasks including solving complex engineering problems as well as practical sessions in the purpose built Construction Training Centre. You will study eight units, with an emphasis on higher level civil engineering techniques, hydraulic principles and application and management principles. It is well recognised by employers and provides a variety of topics to offer a well-rounded understanding of all areas of civil engineering. This part time industry standard qualification is ideal if you are already employed in the civil engineering industry with a HNC.
